Server logs.
The site runs on a server in Switzerland (hosted by our provider). When you visit, technically necessary access data is stored in server log files: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system.
This data keeps the site secure and stable. It is not used for advertising, not merged with other sources, kept only briefly and then deleted.
When you write.
Through the booking form and the demo form you send us the details we need to reply. We only process what you enter yourself: name, e-mail, your message and the event or release details, and for the demo form also links and the uploaded file.
The forms run on our own server (PHP mail), not through a third-party service. Booking requests go to booking@budenmusik.ch, demos to demos@budenmusik.ch. We use your details only to handle your request and keep them only as long as needed for that.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your e-mail address to send you updates on releases and dates. We use a double opt-in: after signing up you get an email with a confirmation link, and only after you click it do you join the list. As proof we store the time and IP address of the sign-up and confirmation. The newsletter also runs on our own server, with no third-party service.
You can unsubscribe at any time, via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or simply by writing to info@budenmusik.ch. After unsubscribing your address is removed from the list.
If you buy a download in the Bude shop, the payment runs through our payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). You enter your payment details directly on Stripe's checkout page; they never reach our server. Stripe processes them under its own responsibility, see Stripe's privacy policy.
Of the order we store what is needed for delivery and proof of purchase: the purchased track, email address, time, amount and the retrieval history of the download link. The download email comes from our own server, with no further third-party services. The shop conditions are in the terms.
SoundCloud & Spotify.
On some artist and release pages we embed players from SoundCloud and Spotify. These players load only after you accept the use of external content or actively start the player. Before that, no connection to SoundCloud or Spotify is made.
Once a player is loaded, your browser connects to the servers of SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Berlin) and Spotify (Spotify AB, Sweden). These providers may set cookies and process usage data, which we cannot influence. See the privacy notices of SoundCloud and Spotify.
The persistent player at the bottom of the site streams our own audio files directly from the server, no third party. Links to Instagram, YouTube, Beatport, Resident Advisor and Twitch are plain links that only open the external site when you click them.
What stays local.
We set no tracking or advertising cookies of our own. In your browser storage (localStorage) we keep only technically necessary items: your cookie choice and a few display settings. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Third-party cookies only appear if you load an embedded player as described above.
Google Analytics.
For anonymous reach measurement we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland; Google LLC, USA). The tool loads only when you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you click "Only necessary" or make no choice, Google Analytics is not activated and no cookies are set for it.
We measure with a shortened (anonymised) IP address to see which pages are used. Data may be transferred to Google, including to the USA. You can withdraw your consent at any time by choosing "Only necessary" in the banner or by clearing the stored choice in your browser. More in Google's privacy policy.
Beyond that we use no further tracking services, no Facebook pixel and no external fonts. The typeface is self-hosted.
What you can do.
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection. Just write to management@budenmusik.ch.
Swiss data protection law (revDSG) applies; for visitors from the EU the rights under the GDPR apply in addition. In Switzerland you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
