Make My Day by Herr Berger, BUDE 013. His second release on the Bude: melodic techno at 123 BPM, warm and in a major key.
After I Need Your Love in August, Herr Berger follows up. The track takes its time. It does not arrive, it grows, until the groove stands and carries from below. Nothing pushes, everything pulls.
Halfway through he takes everything out. For close to a minute only the chords stand in the room, bright and wide. Then he brings the floor back and holds it to the end. The title means it.
Herr Berger has collected vinyl since 1992 and stood behind the decks since 1995. You do not hear that time as a quote, you hear it as patience: he lets a track arrive instead of pushing it.
